The Channing Systems Genetics and Genomics lab focuses on population and family-based genetic studies of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The intern will be responsible for handling and preparing human samples, tracking samples electronically, assisting with data management, and performing general lab maintenance. They will work under close supervision according to established departmental and hospital policies and procedures to assist with molecular biology techniques. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a molecular biology laboratory. Responsibilities include the following:
