Job Description:

TSC is seeking a full-time on-siteContractor Program Security Officer in our Silver Spring, MD locationto manage the security program in compliance with DoD customer security requirements. The successful individual will be energetic, conscientious, detail-oriented andenjoy working in a close-knit team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years security-related experience in the corporate or program security environment
  • 2 years of experience as a CPSO
  • Top Secret Clearance with an SF 86 under 4 years old
  • Knowledge of government policy through the Joint Air Force, Army, Navy (JAFAN) and industry security procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with SIMS software
  • Experience with Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC)
  • Disciplined and a capability to prioritize workload with minimal guidance to meet standards and timelines
  • Positive attitude and flexibility, with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

The candidate will report directly to the Program Manager.

  • Implement, safeguard, and develop SOPs for protective methods and security procedures for safes, storage containers, locks and locking systems, facilities and loss prevention dictated by DoD SAP procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and site assistance visit (SAVs) for physical, personnel and information security procedures.
  • Develop and implementing security plans involving access to employees, badge systems, intrusion detection system (IDS), and other electronic devices.
  • Coordinate for and process Program Access Request (PAR) packages for candidates nominated for special access (internally and externally) ensuring that all meet the enhanced security reviews and guidelines as dictated by the ICD 704 and prescribed Department of Defense regulations.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to classified material, facilities and documents and safeguards them against espionage, sabotage, damage, and theft.
  • Assist and report to the PM regarding the administration and implementation of security regulations, policies, and procedures for all aspects of security management program.
  • Conduct evaluations of Insider Threat Programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships, liaison contact, and staff coordination with the PSO office.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, prepare and maintain Fixed Facility checklists
  • Implement, manage, and monitor security requirements to maintain accreditation for facility.
  • Report to the supervisor on implementation of security regulations for all aspects of security management, compliance, and support.
  • Ensure classified information is properly protected and handled at the appropriate level in accordance with the applicable Security Classification Guides (SCG).
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written communications
  • Meet regularly with FSO and security team to discuss security administration
