Description

The Bid Coordinator reports to the Bid Supervisor and is responsible for coordination, timeliness and completion of bid responses for entire U.S.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Implement customer set up in WTG system.
  • Create spreadsheet with vendor addresses and service levels and update with new pricing, fee's and notes.
  • Find and reach out to vendors in the areas requested for service, through WTG resources and Internet with introduction of WTG while requesting contact information.
  • Send out request for quotes through e-mail with applicable information and provide quotes to national accounts manager and/or client coordinators.
  • Track award paperwork to ensure completion and receipt; create award and agreement with quote and term information.
  • Award vendor with location or locations that customer has approved.
  • Perform follow up with vendor for signed agreement and send signed agreement updates to national accounts manager and/or client coordinators.
  • Set up new vendors and add agreements in WTG system with vendor profile information, vendor W-9, quote and term information.
  • Prepare and submit reports accurately and timely.
  • Assist with special projects and assist others in the department as needed. Serve as the back-up to
  • other Bid Coordinators, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

  • Must possess a professional demeanor and telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills with the ability to multi task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications, 0365, MSS, SAP, i-Pak database or similar software experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, in a team or lead a team to meet or exceed goals.
  • Possess excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills, oral and written.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and data entry skills.
  • Ability to identify issues, make decisions, and resolve problems.
  • Must be able to react well under pressure and treat others with respect.

Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:

  • Continuous Sitting in Office Environment.

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Qualifications

Education
High School (required)
General Education Diploma (preferred)
Bachelors of Relevant field (preferred)

Experience
Knowledge and understanding of Sales, Marketing, Profit and Loss operations and applications. (required)
Client maintenance and account retention experience. (required)
2 years: Working knowledge of the Solid Waste and Recycling Industry. (preferred)
