Position Description

We're looking for a full-time, staff Commissioning Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann team.

This position is responsible for leading and managing project commissioning for all facilities and process systems and equipment including operational assessments and life safety systems. This position works closely with the Project and Construction Managers and will additionally interface daily with design and construction professionals as well as clients, trade contractors, and operations and maintenance staff.

As the Commissioning Manager, here's the work you'll do:

* Develop and implement the project pre-commissioning and commissioning plans in coordination with the construction team to safely commission the facility equipment. Review and scope P&IDs, electrical single line diagrams and I&C documents. Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for the facility equipment. Set start-up and or system priorities with Operations which will set the priorities for the commissioning schedule and construction

* Work with the project team to establish commissioning scopes, work plans and schedule; ensure coordination and communication to project staff, suppliers, and client to support the project schedule. Review the equipment documentation including O & M manuals and operating procedures. Work with Operations and Construction regarding any change management items and expedite any action (EP or C) which impacts the commissioning effort

* Understand the commissioning budget and work with the PMO's Project Controls team to ensure that the commissioning activities are conducted within budget and on schedule to support project completion. Attend and actively participate in project coordination meetings. Lead field commissioning coordination meetings

* Develop, direct, and implement plans to improve and expand the organization's strategic market position performing vulnerability assessments for mission critical facilities

* Coordinate hands-on and classroom training with the facilities operations teams and owner

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Proven past performance and knowledge of engineering design and construction of facility equipment including utility and life safety systems serving mission critical facilities

* Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes client needs assessment, and evaluation of client satisfaction. Leadership skills to motivate or influence others

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including managing schedules, budgets (including change management) in priority fashion

* Generalized knowledge of laws, codes, government regulations that affect the business and the market segment. Possess project-specific knowledge of the program's commissioning requirements as defined in project specifications and commissioning plan

* Ability to travel. This position will required occasional travel to both domestic and international locations

And if you have these qualifications:

* Bachelors, Associate, or Technology Degree in Engineering, construction management or related fields

* 5+ years leading commissioning projects

* Certified Commissioning Provider (CCP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Commissioning Authority, or other nationally-recognized commissioning certification preferred

* For Munitions projects, requires experience in plant operations

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $124,000 - $186,120. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
