Wieland is hiring a Industrial Process Engineer Intern. The Industrial Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting maintenance, engineering, and operations teams by providing standardized procedures for operational processes. This is a part-time role, up to 20 hours a week. This role is located in Granite City, IL and will be fully on-site.

Industrial Process Engineer Intern Responsibilities:

Aid in the establishment of standards and policies for pollution control, quality control, testing, operating procedures, and inspection and maintenance of equipment in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations
• Spend time learning the process flow of 100+ different sub-processes utilizing 2000+ different stationary machines and 400+ mobile equipment to get an understanding of the products recycled.
• Work self-sufficiently and with multiple teams (engineering, maintenance, EHS, production, and leadership).
• Work in the field (including outdoors and in & around various industrial equipment) to properly assess current operating process to develop standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to the support functions of the EHS teams. Identify unsafe practices and work with EHS team to develop safe working practices.
• Lead training activities for new or updated SOPs

Industrial Process Engineer Intern Qualifications:

• Pursuing bachelor's degree, in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent discipline
• Demonstrates the ability to take charge/ownership of a process to enact change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CAD systems
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Data analysis skills
