IFF is seeking a Regional Ingredient Systems Business Development Manager to join our Systems Business Unit and become part of the core team driving growth of one of the key BU's in IFF Nourish, based within commutable proximity of one of our USA locations like South Brunswick, NJ location or New Century, KS, etc. The successful candidate will have a solid technical background combined with strong business acumen ensuring thorough understanding of how key market trends and customer needs translate into food ingredient concepts with solid value propositions. The ability to drive the agenda of the Systems BU in the region and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is a must. Position will report into the Systems BU Leader with a dotted line to the Global Business Development Manager (GBDM)

Long Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive regional execution of a key new growth platform in the Systems BU incl. global & regional support on capability build across the value chain and hands-on regional customer execution with Sales and Regional Product management.
  • Develop new, regional business opportunities to accelerate growth and secure a strong pipeline (medium & long-term) by:
    • Working with the GBDM to drive cross regional fertilization of local concepts and solutions between regions and across applications
    • Translating the global strategy into regional strategic initiatives and actions
    • Identify and translate needs in core & adjacent segments into new competitive value propositions, concepts and ingredient building blocks to guide R&D and Application development efforts
  • Be Commercial Lead for Systems on longer-term innovation projects
  • Support development and periodic reviews of the Systems strategy

Job Qualifications

  • Engineering, technical or science degree combined with a degree in business management
  • Solid technical understanding combined with strong business acumen & strategic mindset
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within application, innovation, business development or product management
  • Experience in food & beverage
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
  • Personal attributes:
    • Team player who collaborates well across functions and businesses
    • Takes ownership of individual & team goals and work streams
    • Willingness to learn from others and open to new ideas
    • Curious, solution oriented, high energy individual who is comfortable with uncertainty and passionate about the food industry

Travel Required: 50-80 days
