Shift 1 (United States of America)

The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for the procurement and purchasing of parts and materials for Milacron Extrusion machinery. Schedules, orders and coordinates delivery of parts and materials used in product manufacturing. This includes review of supply requirements, purchase requisitions, requests for quotes, purchase order creation, purchase order follow-up/expedite and receipt of material.

Work you will do:

  • Follow the standard purchasing process to buy goods and services to ensure an adequate supply of standard items.
  • Review and react to MRP messages to ensure a steady flow of materials.
  • Align material supply with demand in order to maximize service level and minimize inventory.
  • Execute PO's to MRP driven plan.
  • Process purchase orders and review each for quantity, price, specification and delivery requirements.
  • Update PO's with supplier confirmation information (delivery dates, quantities, etc.).
  • Coordinate material deliveries to ensure on time delivery of the product.
  • Expedite and/or research missing, late or incorrect orders.
  • Monitor backordered materials and track delivery.
  • Identify potential product shortages. Expedite delivery with suppliers.
  • Discuss and resolve pricing, quality or delivery issues with management assistance.
  • Research and resolve invoice issues.
  • Maintain reorder points and min/max levels by SKU number.
  • Participate in lean events and initiatives to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory preparation, count and reconciliation.
  • Administer interplant warehouse transfers.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Team:

This role will be a part of the Procurement/Supply Chain department and will report to the Purchasing Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of sourcing/purchasing experience is preferred

  • Experience working with office equipment (fax machines, copiers, phone systems)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with ERP/ CRM systems (Oracle E1/ ServiceMax)
