SUMMARY: The Application Developer is responsible for developing SQL databases and writing applications to interface with multiple databases. The position will be designing tables, storing procedures, views, and functions. The role will also be responsible for responsible for ensuring that our ERP systems are utilized as per the aligned Business Processes accurately so resulting data allows the Business to plan/execute against. This role requires troubleshooting, problem solving, and a basic understanding of ERP systems and reporting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of high-quality database solutions.
  • Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL.
  • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
  • Research required data and suggest new queries.
  • Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
  • Provide timely scheduled management reporting.
  • Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements.
  • Design the best technical solution to solve business requirements and ensure the quality of the solution.
  • Responsible for building functional and technical specifications to meet business requirements.
  • Create and provide SQL Reporting from data warehouse and ERP systems.
  • ERP system uploads as required.
  • Solve application incidents, analyze issues, and identify their source.
  • High aptitude for interpreting technical documentation authoring or updating documents including help desk and training documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant/technical work experience OR
  • An additional 3 years specific work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
  • 3 years of experience with Transparent Data Encryption. (TDE)
  • 3 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters degree
  • 8+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
  • 3+ years of Component Control Quantum experience.
  • 3+ years of Pentagon SQL experience.
  • 5+ years of Aviation experience.
  • Familiarity with the practical application of NoSQL\NewSQL databases.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success.

  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
