Position Overview:

The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist will be responsible for effectively processing plant tickets and invoicing customers out of our office in Dodge City, KS or Garden City, KS. The ideal candidate will have previous experience and/or education in accounting and be a detail and deadline-oriented individual who has computer skills with a strong background in Microsoft Excel. This is a full-time seasonal position that reports to the Regional Administrative Manager and has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Learn and understand internal coding structure
  • Process customer tickets with a high degree of accuracy
  • Index, validate, and attach tickets in accounting software
  • Review audit reports and be able to recognize and correct ticketing errors
  • Process customer credit card payments
  • Strong communication skills answering questions from both internal managers and outside customers
  • Cross-train with applicable positions
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and mangement
Position Requirements:
  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn in-house software applications
  • Knowledge of state sales tax is beneficial
  • Self-directed and motivated to exceed expectations and meet deadlines
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Grasp new concepts quickly and have a strong comprehension of material
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
  • Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide)
  • Strong communication skills with customers and company personnel, both verbal and written
