Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a 2nd Shift Inspector - Simulation to join our team in McPherson, KS. As an Inspector you will be responsible for inspecting and simulating new and rebuilt screws to specific tolerances. Responsible for the set-up and operation of simulation to check for gaps between screws for pre-inspect, machine, nitride, chrome, mods from threadmill, coating screws, etc. Must apply knowledge of shop mathematics and quality awareness. This position works closely with other departments.

Schedule: M-F 4pm-12am, Overtime and Saturdays mandatory as needed. Must be able to train 8am-4:30pm

Work You'll Do

• Create check-in card to use with job traveler

• Set-up and operate gaps between screws (CNC, Threadmill, Finish Inspect, Pre-Inspect) verifying screw to blueprint specifications.
• Must use precision measuring tools specific to job.
• Lift, position, and transport work piece with a hoist.
• Must use job specific hand tools.

• Basic Qualifications:

• Blueprint reading

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical School Certificate
• 1+ years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Precision measuring tools

Team:

3 groups within inspection (simulation, digital and finish) with a team of 10 associates on different shifts.
