YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Maintenance Management Trainee opportunity in Guymon, OK. In this highly impactful role, you will grow your skills as a management trainee to prepare for advanced roles at our company in Guymon.You can expect training that will prepare you for a supervisory or technical role of responsibility that allows you to make an impact in our company. You will spend 8-16 months learning our business and developing your skills to advance your career in the company while receiving technical, business management and leadership training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 12-16 months of training in our maintenance department.
  • Gaining expereince in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing feed systems, frssh water systems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation controls,and penning for animal production facilities to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Follow work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment require replacement, repair or maintenance.
  • Welding of buildings equipment including load out chutes, and fabrications of some penning or gating.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college, an associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related fields of study: animal science, agribusiness, general business, management, operations management, food science, ag education, and other related degrees or experience.
  • Flexible and able to work on assigned weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and be on call, when assigned, to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating, encouraging, coaching and leading a team to reach set goals.
  • Good critical thinking and judgement skills to reach the best possible solution to a problem.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people such as employees, managers, and senior management.

SCHEDULE

Working hours are primarily on 1st shift, hours may vary based on business needs.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
