What You Can Expect Working in the Videographer Intern Position

The Videographer Intern will work under the supervision of the Marketing Brand Manager who is responsible for all Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations functions of multiple brands. Companies our intern might provide work for include RedGuard, RedGuard Diversified Structures, SiteBox Storage, CoverSix and Armoda. As a Videographer Intern, you will receive real-world, practical skills through hands-on opportunities and connect with subject matter experts, mentors and decision makers.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in the planning, shooting, and editing of video content in line with creative concepts and brand guidelines.
  • Edits and assembles video footage, incorporating music, graphics, and other elements to produce polished and engaging videos.
  • Manages video equipment and ensures its proper maintenance and organization.
  • Works closely with our videographer, graphic designers, and other members of the marketing team to develop creative concepts and contribute innovative ideas.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a junior, senior or graduate student enrolled full-time in a university degree program aligned to the area of the internship.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, & Photoshop and/or other common video applications.
  • Basic understanding of camera operation, including the usage of DSLR cameras.
  • Knowledge of working with studio lighting and interview-style audio recording.
  • Capability to tell a story through visuals, understanding narrative structure and pacing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate well with others and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous video projects or work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred degree of study in videography, graphic design, marketing, or closely related field.
  • Experience with color correction and grading techniques.
  • Familiarity with storyboarding and shot composition principles.
