Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in teaching, childhood development, mentoring, recreation and/sports preferred
Experience: Prior experience working in a structured community center setting
Certifications/Licenses: None
Skills/Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise volunteers as directed
Physical Requirements: Include actively participating in activities with program participants, standing for long periods of time; walking, running, bending, reaching; lifting up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.
Travel: Local only; occasional
Driving: Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
Working Conditions: The work environment for this position includes a classroom, gymnasium and outdoor environment.
