Job Description
ENGIE is hiring a Wind BOP Technician in Colby, Kansas at our East Fork Wind Site. You will have the opportunity to operate and maintain the site by optimizing wind generation availability and performance through established procedures with the highest regard for health, safety and environment compliance.

 We have both CONTRACT and FULL TIME Perm positions.
-Must reside or relocate within 1 hour of the site 
-Bonus opportunities (Full-time Perm ONLY )
- Hourly pay + OT 
- Day shift hours
-MUST have HIGH Voltage experience 

What you’ll do:
-Facilitate and implement all daily work as the on-site BOP Tech, including coordinating with service providers, contractors, producing 
Operate site equipment, both directly and remotely
Coordinate Switching and Curtailments with relevant local utilities and ISOs.
Demonstrate work planning skills, activity scheduling and follow up to assure work conformance
Perform routine inspections – safely using tools (e.g. multimeter and IR Camera)

What you bring:
3-year diploma in a technical program or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience industrial MV/HV voltage application.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain substation equipment such as: electrical control circuits, transformers, high voltage breakers and collection lines
Trades qualifications are an asset: (Lineman, Electrician, Millwright, Control Technician) 
Ability to effectively use diagnostic equipment
Put together LOTO for substations, transformers, electrical switches, transmission lines and collectors’ lines
Required to have and maintain a valid driver's license
HV experience, able to attain AVO substation technician certification within 12 months of hire
Reside within 50 miles of the site
