Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Summary

To setup and operate, maintain, troubleshoot and make minor adjustments and assist with repairs.

Principle duties:

Read, communicate and understand Operational Method Sheets (OMS) job instructions, handles material to and from workstation and gets workstation and equipment ready for production. Gets job instructions, sets up and starts machine to make sure machine is operating properly. Troubleshoots to identify problems, communicates problems to Maintenance and Tool and Die people and assists with repairs. Empties scrap into scrap bins, makes sure scrap is being properly ejected from causing line. Operates small presses and/or some assembly work with air tools. Maintains quality standards, performs first and last part inspections of parts produced against OMS and/or specifications. Keep workstation in order and other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
